Last week, a whopping 26 new designers were inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America, bringing the total number of members to 427. And while some of them might already be household names, a handful are lesser-known.
As reported by WWD, the CFDA’s newest members are Rachel Zoe; Joseph Altuzarra; Lisa Perry; Vince Camuto; Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs of Cushnie et Ochs; Yvan Mispelaere of Diane von Furstenberg; Jeffrey Monteiro of Bill Blass; Lauren Moffatt; Gemma Redux’s Rachel Dooley; Tabitha Simmons; Emily Current and Meritt Elliott of Current/Elliott; Pamela Love; Juicy Couture’s LeAnn Nealz; Judy Geib; Coomi Bhasin of Coomi; Jean-Michel Cazabat; Shimon and Ariel Ovadia of Ovadia and Sons; Kerry O’Brien of Commando; Tadashi Shoji; Nili Lotan; Paul Marlow of Loden Dager; Jana Matheson of Judith Leiber and Candela NYC’s Gabriela Perezutti.
Additionally, the CFDA has officially renewed Diane von Furstenberg‘s presidency for another two years, meaning she’ll govern the stylish organization for a fourth term. Congrats to both von Furstenberg and the CFDA’s new recruits!
