By all accounts, Rag & Bone’s Marcus Wainwright and David Neville have already built a strong accessories division within their brand. Their signature chunky-heeled Newbury booties sell out season after season, their straw fedoras can be spotted all over downton NYC each summer and their utilitarian belts can effortlessly toughen up any ho-hum slipdress. Now, Racked reports, they’ll be adding handbags into the mix.
We remember spotting several models carrying boxy two-toned leather bags on Rag & Bone’s Fall 2012 runway and hoping they’d make it to the sales floor. Given this news, that could well be the case. After all, the new carryalls are slated to ship along with the label’s fall collection. We’ll be interested to see whether the design duo chose to tweak their runway originals—and no matter what, we’re pretty sure we’ll be ordering one of these new bags for ourselves.
