Designer Richard Nicoll casually dabbles in wedding wear by creating gowns for his friends (you can see them on his blog here, and here) and now he’s making things official with a bridal collection for Topshop. British Vogue reports that the line lands in stores this June and will include the British designer’s "signature sculptural shapes and feminine fabrics."
Images haven’t been released yet, but based on the covetable pieces Mary Katrantzou created for the retailer last winter, we think the selection will be of good quality. And while we don’t expect the gowns to be cheap (Topshop’s high end clothing often runs in the several hundred dollar range) they will probably be super-affordable compared to established bridal brands like Carolina Herrera or Oscar de la Renta.
If the collaboration is successful, wouldn’t it be great if the company decided to permanently include wedding dresses in all of its stores? What do you think—would you walk down the aisle in something from Topshop?
