Seth Meyers, currently slaying the Emmys hosting game, introduced the first presenter of the evening with a creative liberty only afforded to such dashing and charming gentlemen. When bringing up his longtime pal, the equally dashing and charming Amy Poehler, Meyers insisted that Poehler—clad in a glittering Theia gown—had written her own introduction.
The Poehler-penned, Meyers-read announcement went—word for word—as follows: "Please welcome my beautiful, amazing and talented friend, Beyoncé."
While Poehler may not literally be Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, she’s pretty dang close. And if there’s one award-winning superstar we’re proud to call Beyoncé (that’s not, you know, the real-life Beyoncé), you better believe it’s Poehler.
