Last night was all about Chanel’s little black jacket: an article of bouclé wool that not only inspired a book photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, styled by Carine Roitfeld and starring a seemingly endless list of celebrities—including Sarah Jessica Parker, Elle Fanning and Sofia Coppola—but also a global exhibit. The accompanying show, open until June 15 at 18 Wooster Street in New York City, featured tons of LBJs: one room was even devoted to Yoko Ono dancing in hers. Yet we were also inspired by the Lagerfeld-designed looks on myriad party attendees. Click through to see our favorites, and shop similar items. But first, buy the book.
