Good news for all fans of CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Sophie Theallet‘s feminine, bohemian-influenced designs: her traditionally high price points are about to get far less, well, limiting. Theallet has signed on as The Limited’s next guest designer, where she’ll roll out a collaboration just in time for the holiday season (around November).
According to WWD, Theallet is excited about "bringing the luxurious nonchalance of my aesthetic to an affordable price point." While exactly what that price point will be has yet to be determined, The Limited has announced that the collaboration will be an ongoing one, and that Theallet’s pieces will be offered in nearly all of The Limited’s stores—not just those in major metropolitan areas.
And while some might assume this team-up with Theallet marks The Limited’s first foray into the world of designer collabs, the affordably-priced brand actually used to work with designers on a regular basis in the 1980s—among them Gerard Darel, Kenzo and Sonia Rykiel. And since Theallet worked with Nine West on a (very lovely) capsule last year, and a Gap collection a couple of years ago, we have faith that her trademark full skirts and scarf prints will translate beautifully at The Limited, too.
