This is Sophie Turner like we’ve never seen her before. Ditching the gowns and wars of Westeros so familiar to her Game of Thrones character Sansa Stark, Turner has stepped into a new role: singer.
Well, not technically, but the 18-year-old Brit makes quite the appearance in English rock band Bastille’s newest video. In "Oblivion," the last single to be released from their 2013 album "BAD BLOOD," Turner is seen wearing a letterman jacket, white tee, jeans and brown cowboy boots. As Bastille’s "Flaws" plays quietly at the start of the video, she appears nervous as she fixes her signature long red locks. Prepped and ready to go, we hear Turner humming to herself as she takes center stage at a demolition derby.
All eyes are on the teen and suddenly the crowd goes silent. A very nervous Turner begins to sing—coincidentally, her singing voice is remarkably similar to Bastille frontman Dan’s!—her way through "Oblivion." From smashing cars and cheering crowds, this is a huge departure from Sansa Stark and we can’t wait to see what other projects Turner has in store.
