In a certain Bushwick-set episode in Girls‘ first season, Jemima Kirke‘s Jessa acts as Shoshanna’s (Zosia Mamet) "crack spirit guide" after Shosh accidentally inhales the aforementioned illegal substance. We’re all about respecting the law and keeping it drug-free, of course, but we love the idea of having our own spirit guide—especially when it comes to style.
As it turns out, Taylor Swift is on the same page. While she has a number of fashion-forward friends (Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, etc.), the 24-year-old songstress recently revealed that her number one style advisor is none other than Dunham herself.
"Lena Dunham always has great websites and shops at great stores," Swift told E! in a video interview. "She always tells me her newest obsession, whether it’s a new website, a blog or a store. She’s really good with that stuff."
Truth be told, there’s a serious similarity between the two shopping fanatics’ personal styles—something rooted in prints, collars, playsuits, tea dresses and classic femininity. As Swift so wisely explains: "I figure if I stick to classics I won’t have as many cringeworthy moments looking back 25 years from now."
