These days, Taylor Swift is known for many things, including (but not limited to): visibly not working on album five (which, in theory, should be due out in October), hosting pizza parties, redefining workout wear, acting opposite Jeff Bridges, raising a new kitten and needlepointing Drake lyrics. And if that wasn’t enough to keep the 24-year-old songstress busy, this past Sunday, Swift visited a Boston hospital for the purpose of serenading a seven-year-old named Jordan Nickerson, who’s bravely battling both leukemia and the rare Williams Syndrome. The video shows the two becoming fast friends, discussing Spider-Man and Play-Doh before Swift jumped right into the song of Jordan’s choice: a dancey, acoustic rendition of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Tears may began flowing around the five-minute mark, when Jordan starts belting out the track’s final chorus.
It’s times like these we forgive Swift for her grandma-like tendencies. Thanks, T-Swift, for making one special little boy feel like the luckiest kid in the world.
