Anna Wintour, coming soon to a TV screen near you!
Per WWD, there’s a new fashion docuseries soon to air (no, it’s unfortunately not a Kell on Earth revival) chronicling the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund competition, won last year by menswear design duo Public School—and it’s appropriately titled The Fashion Fund. Comprised of six hourlong episodes to appear on Ovation TV, the series serves as a remake of a similar, identically named Hulu series that aired three seasons ago with episodes running just 23 minutes each.
As for familiar faces, we’ll obviously be seeing plenty of Anna in all her icy, bobbed glory, in addition to an extensive roster of revered, familiar faces: there will be designer and CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg, J. Crew president and creative director (and now Girls star!) Jenna Lyons, Theory co-founder and chief executive officer Andrew Rosen and the fashion director and senior vice president of Neiman Marcus, Ken Downing—among others.
"This is not a contrived documentary. These are really true fashion experts who have an amazing gift," said Ovation TV senior vice president of programming and production Scott Woodward (who co-produced the show with Condé Nast Entertainment and Break Thru Films). "It’s a true documentary. When Anna Wintour walks into the design studio, there’s a hush that comes over the design studio." Well, no surprise there—we get goosebumps just picturing it. Eeesh.
Catch The Fashion Fund when it premieres on Wednesday, January 22 at 10 pm on Ovation TV!
