Unlike New York’s Saint Laurent outpost (with its comfy chaise lounge) or L.A.’s (with its wood-paneled shelves), the new Shanghai store is different. All metallics, mirrors and black and white marble—not a warm touch or plush fabric in sight—suggest what we already figured: Slimane plans on changing not only the label’s name, but the look and feel of each boutique.
