I met designer Tony Melillo at Barneys so that he could show me his new line of men’s and women’s tees. Tony is an accomplished designer, businessman and has worked as an editor at just about every magazine under the sun. His latest line is a collection of REALLY nice, fashion-y t-shirts called ATM (Tony’s initials).
He found these super nice fabrics in Peru and went to town for nine months, perfecting the silhouette. The weight of the fabric is what causes them to fall perfectly on the body. Plus, the shirts are already pre-shrunk, so if you throw them in the dryer they’ll remain perfectly in tact. Search no further for the perfect tee. I’m a t-shirt girl myself and Tony has passed the test. A lot of effort and proper care goes into the clothing that he designs—and it shows. "The point of view is relaxed elegance," he says. "The t-shirts are not fitted. They’re a little drapey. They’re easy." And that’s what all of us girls are looking for, right?
All of the new styles are for sale on the Barneys CO-OP floor right now! And look for styles and colors throughout the year.
