Her Princess fragrance is already a smash hit with the teenage set—and today, Vera Wang unveiled an entire clothing collection to match. Princess Vera Wang, the famed designer’s first-ever foray into juniors apparel, is now available at Kohl’s stores nationwide and Kohls.com.
Priced from $16 to $98—a far cry from the tens of thousands of dollars Wang’s celebrated bridal gowns often cost—the Princess collection includes tulle-trimmed knitwear, fluttery halter dresses and sequined miniskirts, as well as a handful of items you’d never find in Vera Wang’s runway line like graphic tees and denim. It’s a new move for the designer, but she apparently got a little help from her own two young daughters, Cecilia and Josephine. She’s even launched a nationwide model contest in search of a fresh face to serve as Princess Vera Wang’s 2013 campaign girl. Aspiring teen mannequins, start your engines.
"It was important to me that the Princess Vera Wang collection be versatile and speak to a new generation of young women, giving them the freedom to express their unique sense of personal style," Wang said in a press release.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Vera Wang has worked with the department store—her Simply Vera Vera Wang lifestyle collection, which recently grew to include cosmetics and accessories, debuted back in 2007.
