Clark Kent’s black-rimmed eyeglasses are perhaps the one accessory that most clearly separates him from his superhero alter ego—and now, philanthropic and industry-beloved eyewear company Warby Parker is paying homage to those famous frames with a two-piece capsule collection inspired by Man of Steel, the latest big-screen adaptation of the Superman saga opening June 14.
The collab’s comprised of two unisex styles—the Percey, a slim, rounded tortoiseshell pair offset with pops of red, and the Chamberlain, a bolder black style trimmed subtly in blue. Both pairs retail for $95 including prescription lenses—the same as most of WP’s optical offerings.
If this team-up seems a bit odd, think about it: Superman’s entire job revolves around making a positive difference in the world, a mission that aligns perfectly with Warby Parker’s "Buy a Pair, Give a Pair" policy. Doing good and looking good? Well, we’re all in favor of that.
