The Scene: Models Tyson Beckford and Coco Rocha turned up bright and early at Lincoln Center to support everyone’s favorite reality TV starlet. There were even a few front-row seat thiefs in the house, though they were no match for People’s Revolution owner Kelly Cutrone, who spotted them right away. "This isn’t my first time at the Fashion Week rodeo," she laughed.
The Soundtrack: Seemingly ripped straight from our iPod. Beyoncé’s "Run the World (Girls)" started things off, followed by M.I.A.’s latest, "Bad Girls" (sensing a theme?). Next, we heard Yeasayer’s "O.N.E." and Robyn’s "Fembot." And the final walk was set to The Big Pink’s "Dominos," an all-time favorite of ours.
The Look: From abstract-floral silk separates to body-con miniskirts and leggings, these pieces were clearly made for L.A. party girls. Not everything that came down the runway was super-practical—the fuzzy knit bell-bottoms come to mind here—but there was a lot that we’d happily wear, like the patterned blazers and flapper-style cocktail wear.
Pieces We Want: The silver sequined polka-dot tanks offered just the right amount of flash, and we’d wear Port’s patterned peplum tops just as they were shown on the runway: with geometric statement necklaces.
