Locally sourced. Made in the USA. Crafted by hand. Sustainable. High quality. These are just some of the qualifications that quickly-growing shopping platform Zady enforces for each and every one of its goods. Today’s current fast fashion culture spotlights hugely popular mass retailers (such as Forever 21, H&M and Zara) that rapidly turn catwalk trends into items that are as accessible as they are inexpensive. As Zady puts it, today’s shoppers are "buying more" instead of "buying good."
The online brand is moving fast; it only just launched on August 27, and has already opening a temporary retail location in one of the most highly trafficked spots in all of New York City: LaGuardia Airport. Not only are Zady’s items insanely beautiful and thoughtfully produced, but five percent of every sale made at the pop-up location will benefit the brand’s nonprofit partner, The Bootstrap Project—a micro-business which promotes sustainable and traditional crafts and customs in the developing world.
Headed home for the holidays? Check out Zady’s Holiday Pop-Up today through January 4, 2014 in Terminal D (Delta Airlines) at LaGuardia Airport!
